Upper Apartment Now on Craigslist
Meanwhile, upstairs, the process of moving to a new place begins for the sitting tenant. Where is he going that is so much better than this place? He's buying, of course. Can't beat that. Now is certainly the time to buy if you have the scratch. Just today I posted an ad on Craigslist for the apartment.
Now Back to the Lower
Now where was I … oh, yeah. The pure and utter frustration of crawling around basement furnace vents trying to do some rewiring. We worked on Christmas Eve because we want to make sure it all gets done on time. We did finally manage to get it all in, and retire to our separate families for a very nice Christmas Eve. But it was not without its lost battles. The entry unit doesn't seem to be working quite right, and may have to be replaced, or my education on its installation somehow enhanced. Stay tuned for more on that.
On Monday, the guy comes to restretch and repair the carpets, followed quickly by the guy who will shampoo them, so we're planning on doing the last "dirty" jobs (i.e., jobs that create a mess) and on a lot of cleaning up. With the exception of a few particular things, we're right on track to deposting B. and S. in their spruced up Lower on the 31st of December.
